Niya was Meant for Me
Niya was the last puppy born ten minutes after midnight in my first litter. I had zero plans of keeping a puppy from that litter, but she had other plans. She would crawl over to me after nursing and would snuggle up and fall asleep on my legs, in my arms, or on my pillow. During one of those milk induced naps I got to thinking, what if I kept one of these puppies. I kept my mind open until the day of evaluations at eight weeks old and even that morning I picked up Miss Pink Teal, gave her a kiss on the nose, and said I love you so much and wish whatever family gets you luck. It was me. I wished myself luck.
Niya is the life of the party and a social butterfly. All dogs and people are obviously going to be her friends whether they want to be or not. She even thinks my cat, Maze, is her bestest friend. Maze would still disagree at this point.
I am looking forward to showing her in the conformation ring this summer (2026) and continuing to work on her obedience training.
