Niya is such a special little monster. And yes, she is a monster, but not in the she’s a horrible dog kind of way, in the overly affectionate, this is her nickname, and I love her kind of way. Niya always knew she was meant to stay with me. In her mind, I was the one that took way too long to figure it out. She is so incredibly smart. Niya is the 5x great granddaughter of our first Newfoundlands, Jenny.

Black Watch’s The Trouble With Tribble

Trouble is at times like her name suggests, trouble. Like the time she stole a freshly thawed beef heart out of my kitchen sink and refused to give it up. It was intended for her, but I wasn’t going to give it to her all at once like she thought she needed. All in all, Trouble is one of the best dogs. She loves to go for walks and whines until I take her on one. She thrives in our cold northern environment and loves to take her daily snow bath by rolling in it every single time I let her outside. She is a true sweetheart of a dog.
