Congratulations, you’re getting a puppy!

Here’s what you need to know about weekly updates.
Please note, all photos of puppies in the weekly information pages are NOT puppies in the current litter. These pages are a way for me automate some of the information I need to send you so this is one less thing I have to do in my initial sleep deprived delirium.
01. Weekly updates are not just for the cute pictures of your puppies growing from birth until they come home with you. But yes, there will be plenty of photos too though.
02. The information in these pages is really important and answers a lot of common questions people ask when the pups first go home and as people adjust to life with a dog.
03. There will be a quiz at the end of each update so I know who has read them. Like I said, the information is important. The quiz will be short and simple. If you read all of the information, you should have no problem answering them.
Resources
Love Newfoundlands
If you don’t already know, I run the dog blog Love Newfoundlands. My mission with Love Newfoundlands is to support, educate, and encourage all members of the Newfoundland dog community for the betterment of the breed as a whole.
On the blog you can find information on a variety of topics relating to Newfoundlands. I have posts on raising a puppy in your home, health topics, fun treat recipes, favorite grooming products, and more! Feel free to poke around.
I’m a blogger and content creator, someone even told me that content creation is in my blood, he wasn’t wrong. I post an insane amount of puppy photos and videos as the litter grows on my social media pages for the blog. I can almost guarantee that if you search for ‘Love Newfoundlands’ on your favorite social platform, you’ll find me and the current litter!
Facebook Group
Years ago Mom started a group on Yahoo for her puppy families. The group was incredibly active. As more and more people started using Facebook, she transitioned the group from Yahoo to Facebook.
The group is still incredibly active with families that have puppies from Bydand (Mom), Tugboat (My sister, Sierra), and Meriwether (Me). Some people post more than others, but I really like that we have this tool so you can share your pup as it grows with not just me, but others too.
Many people in the group have a lot of experience and knowledge, so it’s also a fantastic resource for asking questions if you have any. Or you can just share your life with your pup. Either way, I do hope you join.

Pickup Information
In person Pickups
You are more than welcome to come pick your puppy up at my home in North Dakota.
Let me make this abundantly clear. Just because I say puppies are available to be picked up at a certain day and time does not me you are entitled to that spot. Just like going to the doctor or the dentist, you need to schedule a time with me. You do not know my schedule and I might already have someone scheduled during that time. Do NOT schedule any vacation days or PTO to come pickup your puppy up until I have confirmed a date and time with you.
Cash is the only form of payment accepted at pickup.
Flight nanny
If you are unable to come to North Dakota to pick up your puppy, I offer delivery with a flight nanny. Nanny schedules fill up fast, so if this is something you are considering, please let me know as soon as possible so we can get you on the schedule.
If you choose to use a flight nanny, you will be responsible for the nanny fee to the person traveling with your pup, airfare for the nanny, carry-on pet fee, and health certificate. The nanny fee is based on distance and length of day of travel. If you do book a flight nanny, I will book the flights and make all the arrangements. The flight nanny’s seat MUST be in first class seating for the puppy. The puppy needs the extra leg room that is available in first, regular coach does not give the puppy enough ventilation.
Full payment for the puppy including the health certificate is due by their 6 week birthday via check.
Shipping
Shipping is also an option on either American Airlines or Alaska Airlines out of Minneapolis.
Unfortunately due, to the schedules and timing, we are unable to ship puppies on the day we go to Minneapolis for their cardiology appointment. We would need to make an additional trip to Minneapolis on a different day to ship your puppy to you.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you are considering shipping so I can begin making arrangements to ship your puppy.
Full payment for the puppy including the health certificate is due by their 6 week birthday via check.
Additional pickup information containing the dates will be send out in the email with puppy updates and photos.
